Stina Hamlin: Do you ever close your eyes when you’re watching a film and just ... listen? No? Just me?
Well grab your headphones because we’re going to try that together. Sonic Journeys is about re-orienting our attention to the sound of cinema.
Fred John, excerpt from Gath & K'iyh: Our ears start opening to a different sound
Paige Bethmann: You know sound is 50% of a film. It’s so important.
Fred John: I just don’t know how to explain it. It seems like something opened up to us that we never thought it was there.
[sound collage fade into the sound of the wind]
[Theme song begins: Tooh Nílíní (River) by Kino Benally]

Paige: This is like fun for me 'cause I feel like it taps into the things I actually worked so long on that no one ever asks about.
Stina: Yeah, exactly. [laughs]
Paige: Nobody wants to know about it. [laughs]
Stina: I do!
Paige: Yeah, you do. Thank you Stina.
Stina: I really do.
